Instructor Name:
Denny Fox
Instructor Bio:
Denny first learned sashiko by attending a basic sashiko workshop in La Conner, Washington, in early 2011. Fascinated by the ongoing Japanese exhibit at the then La Conner Quilt & Textile Museum, she signed up to take the workshop without ever trying this type of hand stitching. The instructor, Kazuko Yoshiura, spoke no English but through a translator was able to impart her knowledge and love for this ancient form of utility and art to Denny and the other students. Denny has been stitching ever since and began sharing and teaching sashiko in 2017.
